Gulf Building LLC is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract to build Fire Rescue Station No. 107 for the City of Miramar.
The new station will include an approximately 13,000-square-foot building with three bays, dormitories, kitchen, gym, bathrooms, a community room, storage and back-up power and is seeking LEED Silver certification.
The new facility, which will be located at 11811 Miramar Parkway, will replace a temporary fire station currently operating out of a modular building at the same location.
The award represents the company’s third project for the City of Miramar. Previous projects included the Miramar Multi-Service Center and Fire Rescue Station No. 19 and the Ansin Sports Complex Phases I and II.
“We are proud to be working with the City of Miramar on another project,” said president and CEO John Scherer. “We understand what this project means to the city and surrounding community and look forward to the opportunity to deliver another successful project.”
The contract extends a two-year growth streak at Gulf Building, which is now among the top 50 private employers in Florida and 13th in South Florida, according to Business Journal research reports. Gulf is also ranked 16th among general contractors in the region.
