WHAT: Ring in the New Year on the waterfront at Channelside Bay Plaza with live entertainment, a Tampa Bay Lightning Watch Party, and waterfront ball-drop and fireworks display. This free event is sponsored by the City of Tampa and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Event partners include Bud Light, Budweiser, Cox Media Group, The Florida Aquarium, Pirate Water Taxi, TECO, and Yacht Starship and benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay.
The party will start with a Tampa Bay Lightning Watch Party in the Garrison Street parking lot at 7:00p.m featuring DJ Jake Dela Cruz and a party in the Channelside Bay Plaza Courtyard featuring DJ Xplicid. This is a FREE public event. Only 3,500 wristbands will be distributed for waterfront admission—first come, first serve.
Special Event parking is available in the parking garage or in the open lots between Channelside Bay Plaza and Amalie Arena. Personal items will be inspected upon arrival. No personal fireworks, firearms, backpacks, blankets, chairs, or coolers will be permitted inside Channelside Bay Plaza. Chairs will only be permitted in the Garrison Street Parking Lot in the watch party seating section. Seating area is limited—first come, first serve. No outside food or beverage. While Channelside Bay Plaza is a pet friendly facility, please know that this event is not pet friendly.
