Managing Director Gordon Messinger Secured the Long-Term Lease with the Federal Transportation Security Administration
Cushman & Wakefield announced today that it has negotiated a 30,000-square-foot lease with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at Doral Concourse.
Managing Director Gordon Messinger, representing building owner DRA Advisors, LLC, secured the long-term lease renewal in the Class A office building located at 8400 Doral Boulevard.
“Doral Concourse remains an ideal fit for the TSA’s South Florida operations,” said Messinger. “The building’s proximity to Miami International Airport, accessibility and updated finishes drove the agency’s decision to secure this large block of space on a long-term basis.”
Doral Concourse is a six-story, 240,950-square-foot office building housing notable tenants such as Starboard Cruise Services,Humana, Marriott, General Mills and Wells Fargo.
Ownership is nearing completion of a capital improvement program consisting of renovations to the ground-floor lobby, upper-floor common areas and entryway exterior. The renovations have helped drive occupancy in the building well over 90 percent.
Doral Concourse offers premium finishes, a structured parking garage with the highest parking ratio in the submarket (5.0 spaces per 1,000 square feet), fiber-optic service and monument signage with frontage on Northwest 41st Street/Doral Boulevard. The building is located in the heart of Doral, just minutes from Miami International Airport and downtown Miami. It offers excellent access to Palmetto Expressway, Dolphin Expressway and Florida’s Turnpike. Doral Concourse is located near Trump National Doral Golf Resort & Spa and is surrounded by an excellent amenity base, which includes the new CityPlace Doral.
The TSA is a federal agency created in response to events of September 11, 2001. Its stated mission is to protect the nation’s transportation systems and ensure freedom of movement for travelers and commerce. The TSA is headquartered in Pentagon City, Virginia, and employs more than 55,000 people nationwide. The agency houses executive and administrative offices at Doral Concourse.
