CBRE Healthcare has been selected to provide Project Management and related Consulting Services for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital new 230,000 square foot Research and Education building.

Johns Hopkins All Children’s recently acquired approximately 1.4 acres of land neighboring their St. Petersburg Campus. This land is near both the new hospital and the Outpatient Care Center (OCC) and will house the new Research and Education building. The new facility will be connected to the OCC by an enclosed, air conditioned bridge.

Designed to serve as an educational center for pediatric resident physicians and fellows, the new facility will offer a simulation lab for clinical teaching, collaborative environments for research, and space to promote free exchange of knowledge and findings. Also included are laboratories for bench and translational research, designated areas for shared support and research cores to promote collaboration.

As Project Manager, CBRE Healthcare will provide the following services to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital:

  • Phase I: Project Planning and Pre-Construction Phase Services
  • Phase II: Construction and Occupancy Phase Services
  • Phase III: Post Occupancy and Close-Out Phase Services

CBRE Healthcare and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital have a long standing relationship, beginning back in 2006 when CBRE Healthcare provided on-site Project Management services for the new replacement hospital, medical office building, central energy plant and parking garage. CBRE Healthcare also completed a site master plan and backfill plan for the overall Johns Hopkins All Children’s campus in 2010.

“CBRE Healthcare is honored to partner with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital again,” stated Scott Nolin, Senior Director of Project Management for CBRE Healthcare. “It is our goal to ensure that this project is completed on-time and on-budget in order to enhance the mission of Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. We will do everything in our power to do just that.”

The new facility will help further expand Johns Hopkins All Children’s research mission and strengthen collaborative research across multiple areas of pediatric medicine.

The new $95.5 million project began construction in early 2016 and anticipates completion in mid-2018.
