Traci Jenks
Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Senior Director Traci Jenks has been elected President-Elect Designate of the Rotary Club of Jacksonville.
Jenks, a six-year Rotary member, current Fellowship Chair and past board member, was elected on August 8. She will take office in July 2018 and serve throughout the 2018–19 Rotary year. The creation of the President-Elect Designate role is a common trend among modern Rotary clubs hoping to better train and acclimate future leaders by bringing them into the fold well in advance of their term.
Rotary is an international service organization founded in 1905 and dedicated to bringing together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. It has since grown to a global organization with more than 34,000 clubs and 1.2 million members. The Rotary Club of Jacksonville was chartered in 1912 as Florida’s first club. Jenks will be the third woman to serve as President in the club’s 104-year history.
“This a tremendous honor for me, and I’m grateful for the support of my fellow Rotary members,” said Jenks. “I’m passionate about Jacksonville and its people, and I look forward to serving them and honoring the great traditions of Rotary.”
Jenks, a veteran of the commercial real estate industry, joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2013 and specializes in the leasing and sale of office properties in Jacksonville. She also represents companies in acquisitions, renewals, relocations and expansions. Her client list includes Florida Coastal School of Law, Carolina Casualty, City Refrigeration, Perdue Office Interiors, Greenshades Software, CMG Financial among others.
Jenks’ has been recognized often during her 24-year career in commercial real estate. She was named 2014 NAIOP Northeast Florida’s Office Broker of the Year, 2012 Jacksonville Business Journal Woman of Influence, 2005 Jacksonville Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree, and a CoStar Power Broker since 2003.
Jenks, a tireless advocate for the revitalization of downtown Jacksonville, has held leadership roles with numerous local organizations including Downtown Vision, Inc., Jacksonville Sports Council (JAXSPORTS), JAXUSA Partnership, NAIOP Northeast Florida, CoWork Jax and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Jacksonville.
