Fowler White Burnett is pleased to announce that Shareholder Rory Eric Jurman has been appointed Chairperson of the Broward County Bar Association’s Legal Malpractice Summit Committee.

The appointment is from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.  In this leadership role, Jurman will work closely with Broward County Bar Association staff to further enhance the Association as a vibrant and valued asset to lawyers throughout Broward county.

Jurman focuses his practice on providing strategic and cost-effective counsel to Fortune 500 companies, insurers and self-insureds. His practice includes insurance coverage, bad faith, professional malpractice, liability and  commercial litigation.

Jurman provides coverage advice concerning virtually every type of general, excess and professional liability insurance policy, including employment practices liability, directors and officers liability and malpractice/errors or omissions policies for various professions. He handles the investigation and evaluation of multi-faceted and high-exposure claims, including class actions and complex coverage issues. He has litigated numerous trials through appeal, including multi-party cases, and major declaratory judgment, liability and rescission actions.

In addition to his legal work in the insurance industry, Jurman also handles a broad range of litigation matters. His practice includes the defense of medical professionals, life science companies, professional negligence matters, defense of Life and Disability Insurance matters, commercial litigation and products liability. He has litigated, arbitrated and mediated cases throughout Florida.
