Plaza Construction completed the LEED Silver-certified SOMA at Brickell, a sustainable, eight-story, 418-unit apartment community located at 145 S.W. 13th Street. SOMA at Brickell was developed by Alliance Residential and Monogram Residential Trust,and was designed by MSA Architects. Established by the U.S. Green Building Council, the LEED Silver green rating certification was verified by the Green Building Certification Institute. To qualify, a project must meet prerequisites and earn points in nine main categories: Integrative Process, Location and Transportation, Sustainable Site, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, Innovation, and Regional Priority.
