Julia Wyda, a family law attorney with Brinkley Morgan, was recently appointed for a second term as Chair of The Florida Bar Family Law Section’s Publications Committee for 2016-2017. Wyda previously served as Chair of the Committee for the 2015-2016 term.
The purpose of the Committee is to curate and produce content for the Family Law Section’s online and printed publications, including The Commentator newsletter, the FAMSEG e-zine, and The Florida Bar Journal.
An active member of the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar, Wyda has served as Co-Chair of the CLE Committee from 2011-2013 and currently serves as a member of the Executive Council. She is also a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, where she served as President of the Young Lawyers Section from 2013-2014 and currently serves on the Board of Directors.
Wyda concentrates her practice in all areas of marital and family law, including dissolution of marriage, paternity, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and post-judgment enforcement and modifications. She has received numerous recognitions for her legal work, including receiving the 2011 and 2012 Rising Star Award and the 2013 and 2016 Above and Beyond Award from The Florida Bar Family Law Section, as well as being named a Florida Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine from 2010-2016. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami in 2003 and her Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2006.
