Werner Reinefeld will manage the design of water/wastewater projects throughout South Florida as senior water engineering manager in the Miami office of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.

In his new position, Mr. Reinefeld will be responsible for managing projects on behalf of municipalities and state agencies, including storm water management and drainage systems, water mains, sanitary sewer systems, pump stations and treatment plants. Some of the firm’s recent projects in the area include supporting the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department’s (MDWASD) Ocean Outfall Program, and construction management for the South Florida Water Management District’s C-44 reservoir/storm water treatment area project in the Everglades.

Mr. Reinefeld has more than 33 years of experience in civil and infrastructure engineering, project management, design/construction, and land development, and has managed numerous projects on behalf of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was a senior engineer and design manager for a Florida engineering consultancy, for which he managed municipal and county projects, with a focus on hydraulic systems and modeling, water and wastewater facilities, sewer systems, storm water and drainage projects.

A licensed professional engineer in Florida, Mr. Reinefeld received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the Central University of Venezuela. He is a member of the Florida Engineering Society.
