Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman announced that Joseph Natiello has joined the firm as an associate in the firm’s litigation division in the Fort Lauderdale office.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Natiello worked as an assistant state attorney in the Misdemeanor and Felony Trial divisions of the Office of the State Attorney, where he tried approximately 35 jury trials. He also served as Deputy Sheriff for more than 24 years. He worked as a patrolman and as a detective in the Homicide, Sex Crimes, Abuse and Neglect, and Major Crimes Units. He later served as a Sergeant supervising Child Protective Investigations, and Sex Crimes and Missing Person investigations. In 2013, Mr. Natiello retired as an Executive Lieutenant/Assistant Chief for the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
Mr. Natiello is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and is a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, The Stephen R. Booher Inn of Court and the F.B.I. National Academy Associates.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida and his Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center.
