Marketing veteran Jason Villar has joined Newsmax TV as vice president of research and analysis, the company announced Thursday.
At Newsmax TV Villar will head up data, market, and ratings analysis, working closing with the company's Advertising and Programming departments.
Previous to Newsmax, and for more than a decade, Villar served as vice president of media and market research for Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, and Fox Digital.
"Jason was responsible for much of Fox's forward-thinking research approach and we're delighted he's joined Newsmax TV to help make us America's No. 1 choice for news," Sam Moser, CRO and EVP of National Advertising, said.
At Fox, Villar formulated and coordinated all ad sales, marketing initiatives, and audience targeting efforts, helping Fox exceed revenue goals annually.
"I've been watching Newsmax's tremendous growth as it gives Americans the opportunity to get accurate news," Villar said. "I'm proud to be part of Newsmax's continuing success story."
Prior to Fox, Villar was director of the A&E Television Networks, and a senior manager of MTV Networks.
Villar graduated from St. John's University with a Bachelor's in marketing research and resides with his wife and daughter in Sparta, New Jersey.
He joins Newsmax TV as the network reaches over 70 million cable and satellite homes and its audience rates have grown dramatically, making it the fastest-growing cable news channel in the nation.
