Urban-X Group, the visionaries behind the transformational River Landing Shops & Residences along the Miami River, announced that it has named Victor Santana as its new Senior Vice President. In this new role, Mr. Santana will assume additional responsibilities in managing the design development of Urban-X Group’s projects and promote the company’s growth and expansion. Mr. Santana previously served as Urban-X Group’s Vice President of Design.

Urban-X Group is a Miami-based real estate company headed by real estate visionaries Andrew Hellinger and Coralee Penabad. For nearly 13 years, Urban-X Group has successfully sought to reshape long-time overlooked submarkets of Miami’s urban core. In his previous role with the company, Mr. Santana oversaw the late stages of the design revisions and construction of River Landing, which opened in September. The sprawling 2.2 million-square-foot development features retail, office, apartments, a landscaped riverwalk, green spaces for enjoyment, cultural events and boat docks. River Landing, which has injected life into a long-forgotten pocket of Miami, anchors the up-and-coming Mid River District. River Landing is located steps away from the Health District, with a daytime population of more than 50,000. Strategically located between downtown Miami and Miami International Airport, River Landing is helping to meet the growing demand for quality discount retail, grocery, banking, and lifestyle services. Mr. Santana joined Urban-X Group in 2018 from VMS Architecture & Development, LLC where he was the firm’s Principal. He has more than 30 years of experience in commercial architecture, design and construction. In addition to his duties at Urban-X Group, Mr. Santana is a lecturer at the University of Miami where he teaches architecture and design.

River Landing consists of approximately 346,000 square feet of retail/commercial space, 135,000 square feet of office, 528 market-rate apartments, more than 2,000 parking spaces and the 25-foot-wide riverwalk. A 25,500-square-foot restaurant row can be divided into seven concept restaurants, including from fine dining to casual and family-style outlets.
