The Florida Peninsula Insurance family of companies is pleased to announce Mariella Gonzalez has been promoted to Director of Agency Support. In addition to her current role as Director of Community Involvement, Ms. Gonzalez will now oversee all agent support functions and continue to lead her team through various marketing projects, agent engagement opportunities, and communication initiatives.
As Florida Peninsula’s Director of Community Involvement, Ms. Gonzalez leads the charge on the company’s philanthropic and volunteer efforts and is a driving force behind the “Florida Peninsula Gives Back” team. In 2019, she received the inaugural Humanitarian of the Year award from the Broward County Latin American Association of Insurance Agencies for her work to give back to the community and encourage others to do the same.

Throughout her more than 15 years as part of the Florida Peninsula team, she has organized countless charitable projects from Habitat for Humanity build days; to clothing and supplies drives for the Broward Partnership; to providing Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas presents and Easter baskets via donations from company employees. For several years, she has organized Florida Peninsula agents and staff across the state to participate in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation’s Race for the Cure, raising thousands of dollars for the organization and its mission to combat breast cancer.
