Shapiro, Blasi, Wasserman & Hermann is pleased to announce that Jeffrey P. Wasserman, an Of Counsel Family Law attorney at the firm, has become an Accredited Collaborative Professional of the Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals (FACP). This is a prestigious honor given that only 4% of FACP members receive accreditation, and of that number only a few are attorneys with the rest being mental health or financial professionals.

FACP is a nonprofit organization that promotes and fosters the collaborative law process in Florida using a collaboratively trained, interdisciplinary professional team working with clients to resolve family law disputes, and to restructure and preserve relationships.

To become an Accredited Collaborative Professional of the FACP, Wasserman had to complete numerous training courses in Collaborative Law and matters pertaining to the field, such as Collaborative training and attorney ethics, domestic violence training, conflict resolution and family mediation courses.

Wasserman is highly active in the FACP and has been a member of the group since 2014. He is on the FACP Board of Directors, serves as vice chair of the Ethics and Standards Committee and is a member of the FACP Practice Group.

Wasserman is part of the Family Law Group at Shapiro, Blasi, Wasserman & Hermann, and possess more than four decades of experience in family law matters, previously serving as Chair of the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar. While his practice is currently focused on Collaborative Law, he remains available for litigation cases. Additionally, he handles Premarital and Post Nuptial Agreements.
