Palmer Trinity School (PTS) celebrated another historic moment on Friday, August 21, 2020, with the virtual groundbreaking of the new Student Life Wing.
Head of School, Patrick Roberts, joined by the Reverend Dr. Mary Ellen Cassini and chairman Hugo Mantilla, led the School in a virtual groundbreaking ceremony for the new building.
Centrally located, it will be situated in the heart of the PTS campus, adjoining the Academic Building by Trinity Chapel.
The Student Life Wing will be a beautiful, functional space housing Palmer Trinity’s Admissions and College Counseling offices, Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) spaces, a Global Citizenship area, the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT), as well as the Student Activities and Academic Dean offices.
It will also have additional classrooms and other gathering spaces in which students, faculty and staff may collaborate.
As part of the virtual groundbreaking ceremony, the Bishop of Southeast Florida, Bishop Eaton, led the school in prayer.
Roberts ended the event by stating, “Thank you all, especially our honored guests, for taking the time to join us remotely this morning. Without the dedication, commitment, and collaborative work of so many individuals, the Student Life Wing would not have been possible in this final ‘step’ of our Soaring to Greater Heights endeavor.”
