South Florida entrepreneur and civic leader Jane Bolin has been appointed to lead of the Global Governance Committee for Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), a global non-profit organization dedicated to helping entrepreneurs achieve greater business success.

Bolin is vice mayor of Oakland Park, founding partner of PeytonBolin law firm and a member of Entrepreneurs’ Organization South Florida (EO SOFLO), one of the world’s largest EO chapters.

In her latest leadership role with EO, she will oversee policy creation and implementation for the organization with 14,000 members in more than 60 nations around the globe. Members of EO must be owners, founders, or majority stakeholders of their business earning at least $1 million in annual revenue.

“Jane is a powerhouse. We are thrilled to have her leading the Global Governance Committee,” said Carrie Santos, CEO of the Entrepreneur’s Organization. “Her leadership and focus are critical to leading a group of volunteers from around the world handling thorny issues of ethics, transparency and oversight.”

Bolin, a graduate of St. Thomas University School of Law, is the first woman to be appointed to this global role in EO’s 33-year history.

“Jane’s a leader of leaders and a rapidly rising star here in South Florida,” said EO SOFLO president and Sudsies founder Jason Loeb. “Our community, chapter and entire organization are very lucky to have her vision and talents.

EO SOFLO has more than 200 members who run businesses with 10,000 employees and more than $2 billion in annual revenue in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. The group’s mission is to foster entrepreneurship and economic growth in the region.

Since joining EO in 2012, Bolin also has served as president of EO’s Tampa chapter, membership chair of EO SOFLO and other top positions. Her other civic leadership includes serving the Pride Center at Equality Park of South Florida, Oakland Park/Wilton Manors Rotary Club, Oakland Park Kiwanis Club and member of the Florida Bar Governmental and Public Policy Advocacy Committee.

“As a vice mayor, I believe elected officials must lead with full compassion, honesty and fairness to create equal opportunities for success and upward social mobility for everyone,” Bolin said. “And as a business owner, I believe in the power of entrepreneurship to uplift people, transform communities, and renew economies locally and worldwide. I’m excited to take on this latest leadership role to help EO in this mission.”
