At Fiske & Company, one of South Florida’s oldest CPA firms, Katie Gilden, CPA/ABV/CFF, CFE, CVA was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Katie joined Fiske & Company in November 2009.

As COO, Katie now oversees the firm’s operations, policies and procedures supporting the delivery of efficient quality service to clients. She also directs engagements for the litigation support practice area. While her primary practice focuses on Business Valuations, she is integrally involved with the firm’s Forensic Accounting and Litigation Services engagements. Katie provides Litigation Support and Forensic Accounting Services related to Economic Damages, Shareholder Disputes, Lost Profits, Business Interruption Claims, Breach of Contract, Marital Disputes, Patent Infringement, Fraud, and Professional Negligence and Eminent Domain.

In addition, Ms. Gilden also provides forensic accounting services to court-appointed fiduciaries including Trustees, Receivers, Debtors-in-possession, and Assignees for the Benefit of Creditors. As a trained Florida Collaborative Professional, she can provide a comprehensive, neutral perspective of the financial situation, educate clients regarding financial concepts, and work directly with the clients to gather the appropriate financial documents.

Prior to joining Fiske & Company, Ms. Gilden has worked for two “Big 4” accounting firms in the areas of state and local tax consulting and has performed extensive analysis of various tax and financial planning strategies; performed financial analysis models to compute monetary savings resulting from planning ideas and developing proactive strategies to mitigate future tax exposure. Ms. Gilden brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in these specialized fields.

Ms. Gilden has been named a “Top CPA in Litigation Support” by South Florida Legal Guide each year since 2011 and was named an “Up and Comer” in Professional Services by Lifestyle Media Group in 2014. A frequent speaker on topics such as business valuation and forensic accounting, she is well known among the accounting and legal professionals in South Florida. Articles she has co-authored have been published in the Daily Business Review, South Florida Legal Guide, the Miami Herald, and Broward Bar’s Barrister.
