Former Worldwide Assurance president to helm growing insurance agency’s newly-formed division

JAG Insurance Group (JAG) – a South Florida-based commercial insurance agency with Florida offices in Coral Gables and Delray Beach, and Charlotte, N.C. – announced today that Ozzie Gonzalez has joined the firm to lead its newly-formed division, JAG Employee Benefits.

With the new Employee Benefits division, the expansion of JAG’s health insurance platform continues to uniquely position the company as a full-service agency poised to compete on a national scale. To provide benefit consulting for companies and individuals, the division will focus on developing comprehensive employee benefits packages to include medical insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and retirement plans.

As former president of Worldwide Assurance, Gonzalez comes to JAG with a solid reputation and high-level knowledge in the employee benefits space. He is regularly sought as an expert in the insurance industry, serving on the Advisory Council for United Health Group and new business committee for Humana. With an in-depth understanding of the evolution of property and casualty and benefits insurance since 1979, he brings a dynamic perspective to the industry’s transformation alongside emerging business and technology trends. He also possesses background in medical administration and billing.
