Diana Mendez, a partner at Llorente and Heckler, P.A., (L&H) is being recognized by the Florida Association of Women Lawyers (FAWL) as a 2020, Miami-Dade FAWL Leader in the Law.

FAWL is dedicated to expanding and promoting the role and progression of women in the legal profession. Once a year, the organization recognizes women who have made a profound impact and contribution to their chapters and communities. Honorees are positive role models for girls, women and other FAWL members. Ms. Mendez embodies all of these admirable characteristics and is an exemplary role-model and recipient of this honor. Her involvement with the Miami-Dade chapter of FAWL dates back to 2015 and she is presently the Chapter Treasurer.

As Partner at L&H, Diana is responsible for counseling clients through all phases of the government procurement process, a variety of business enterprise certifications, contract negotiations, and bid protest litigation. “Diana’s responsibilities far supersede any written list. She is a strong team player and jumps in wherever and whenever needed,” says Marcelo Llorente, Managing Partner of Llorente & Heckler, P.A.

Diana is also a Director at LSN Partners, LLC, a Miami-based full-service strategic business development and consulting firm. Before joining L&H, Diana served as an attorney-advisor for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in Herndon, Virginia. She has a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from Florida International University, and a J.D. and M.A. in International Affairs from American University Washington College of Law.
