Bryce Smith
Palmer Trinity School (PTS) senior Bryce Smith has been selected as one of 300 recipients of The Gates Scholarship, a highly selective scholarship for exceptional minority top student leaders. Bryce was chosen from a pool of more than 36,500 applicants from across the country. As a Gates Scholarship winner, he will receive funding each year through college graduation.
“We are exceedingly proud of Bryce for being chosen alongside an elite group of young leaders who represent the pinnacle of academic achievement, service and commitment, and wish him continued success,” shares Patrick Roberts, Head of School.
In addition to funding undergraduate education, The Gates Scholarship helps undergraduates continue to hone their leadership skills, prepare for professional life, and build enduring networks of fellow Scholars and other distinguished individuals. Bryce will be attending Brown University in the fall, where he will be pursuing a degree in science.
