Carlos Lowell
UBS Financial Services Inc. has announced that Carlos Lowell, a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor in the firm's Coral Gables Private Wealth Management office has been named to the 2020 Forbes/SHOOK Best-In-State Wealth Advisors.
The Forbes ranking of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews and quantitative data. Advisors considered for this recognition have a minimum of seven years of experience. The algorithm used weighs factors such as revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience, and criteria that encompass best practices in their practice and approach to working with clients.
"This award is well-deserved for Carlos,” said Karl Ruppert, Florida Market Head of UBS Private Wealth Management. “His expertise and insightful understanding of the needs of clients is why he is being recognized as one of the best financial advisors in Florida."
Lowell began his career in finance in 1994 after graduating with a B.S. from the University of Miami. He worked in the insurance industry in both Europe and the U.S. before earning his MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management. After graduation, Lowell worked in the Private Wealth Management Group at Goldman Sachs before moving to Morgan Stanley, where he held multiple roles including Miami Complex Manager and Director of International Accounts at its New York headquarters. By leveraging his diverse experience and obtaining the Certified Financial Planner™ and Certified Exit Planning designation, Lowell brings an in-depth knowledge of risk management, financial planning, and international business to the clients of The Lowell Group.
In addition, Lowell is committed to the South Florida community and is involved as an alumnus of the University of Miami where he studied mechanical engineering and economics.
