Hyatt’s newest South Florida hotel welcomes executive team
Located in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale’s bustling business district, Hyatt Centric Las Olas announces the appointment of General Manager Eyal Goldberger and Director of Sales and Marketing Katherine Beja-McLennan. The duo will oversee operations of the new-build, full-service, 238-room property, which will open its doors this spring as a premiere destination for business, group, and leisure travelers, looking to experience South Florida.
An Israel native with roots in Miami, Goldberger began his hospitality career at Stanton South Beach, an Art Deco-inspired Marriott property in Miami Beach’s upscale South of Fifth neighborhood, where he worked his way up the ranks from Director of Operations to Assistant General Manager. A member of theswoodHyatt family for several years, prior to joining the team at Hyatt Centric Las Olas he was General Manager of the 105-room Hyatt Centric South Beach. In his new role, Goldberger will be responsible for daily operations, staff development, budgeting and financial planning, increasing sales and revenue, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The multi-lingual hospitality pro is known for his fresh, youthful perspectiveand has earned a reputation for innovative concepts that showcase a creative twist on traditional hotel programming and day-to-day operations. When he’s not busy running a hotel, Goldberger gets his miles in running and cycling on the weekends.

Beja-McLennan brings more than 20 years of industry knowledge and experience to the Hyatt Centric Las Olas team. Making her way from the Big Apple to the Sunshine State, Beja-McLennan has held various positions in food & beverage and executive team management at properties and brands ranging from The St. Regis New York and W Union Square to Delano South Beach, Wyndham Puerto Rico, and more. Most recently, she was Director of Sales and Marketing at Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina where she earned a reputation for exceeding the property’s total annual revenue, increasing RevPAR index, and spearheading the development and launch of a new digital marketing and e-commerce platform. In her new role, Beja-McLennan will be responsible for leading Hyatt Centric Las Olas’ sales and marketing efforts, developing strategies for revenue growth, managing a team of sales associates, and working with marketing and PR to ensure consistent media messaging and social communication strategy. She was born and bred in Brooklyn and practices yoga in her free time.
