South Florida Institute on Aging Names Adi Raz Director of Development & Community Affairs

The South Florida Institute on Aging (SoFIA), a non-profit that creates and delivers socio-economic support programs for South Florida seniors, announces the appointment of Adi “Dee” Raz as Director of Development & Community Affairs.

In this newly created position, Adi will oversee donor relations, stewardship, and special events. With more than 10 years of experience with fundraising, event planning and leadership development, Adi previously served as the Director of Development for the Hebrew Academy in Miami Beach. In her role at the Hebrew Academy she developed marketing, branding, and engagement strategy for startups and businesses throughout the country.

“Adi’s experience building relationships with the community and engaging potential donors will be a great asset to us as we launch our new intergenerational Friends of SoFIA program in 2020,” said SoFIA President and CEO, Peter Kaldes, Esq. “SoFIA connects people of all ages through unique community experiences and our new giving society with business, educational and social benefits will help to deepen those connections.”

Originally from Israel, Adi grew up in Silicon Valley and received a bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Sofia University. A resident of Fort Lauderdale, she serves as Social Chair on the Young Leadership Division Board of the Jewish Federation of Broward County and as Technology Chair for the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale.
