Board Certified lawyers have met The Florida Bar’s highest standards for special knowledge, skills and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism and ethics in the practice of law. Only seven percent of eligible Florida Bar members have earned Board Certification in one or more of the 27 specialty areas.

Mr. Hanratty is the Managing Attorney of Marshall Dennehey’s Jacksonville office. An experienced litigator, he defends individuals, insurance companies and major corporations in complex litigation within a variety of practice areas. He has tried more than 150 civil jury trials throughout his 25+ year career and has served as statewide trial counsel. His diverse clientele has included insurers, hospitals, manufacturers of household products and industrial machinery, as well as downstream retailers in product liability actions involving vehicles and component parts.

Rated AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell®, Mr. Hanratty holds memberships with the Florida and Jacksonville Bar Associations as well as the Florida Defense Lawyers Association (FDLA). In 2018, he was inducted into the membership of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

He received his juris doctor from the University of Akron School of Law and is licensed to practice in all Federal District Courts of Florida.
