Lowndes is pleased to announce that Real Estate Shareholder, Joaquin “Quino” E. Martinez, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Lake Highland Preparatory School. The Board provides valuable leadership and governance for the school and it is responsible for ensuring the school’s mission remains “to challenge students academically and prepare them for a lifetime of learning, to instill Christian values and patriotism, and to develop tomorrow’s leaders.” Currently the board is comprised of 16 trustees.

At the firm Martinez is a member of the Real Estate Transactions, Development and Finance Groups and he is co-chair of the Commercial Leasing Group. Martinez focuses his practice on commercial leasing, financing, acquisition, development and disposition of commercial real estate. Martinez has served in leadership roles with the Board of Governors for the State Bar of Georgia, the City of Orlando Board of Zoning Adjustment and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando. He also initiated a community partnership and sustained mentoring program between Lowndes and the FAMU College of Law. Martinez earned his undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University, and his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law.
