On Feb. 2, 2019, over 150 guests enjoyed a lounge-style dinner and a night of dancing at the Mom Squad of JAFCO Galahosted at The Venue in Fort Lauderdale, raising $30,000 to help support the children of JAFCO. Guests also enjoyed an impressive 60-item silent auction and a live DJ.
The Mom Squad consists of Natalie Apel, Jackie Arboleda, Michelle Bernstein, Liza Brown, Kim Faro, Mara Freedman, Stefanie Karasik, Diana Lange and Haley Walker, and was founded in 2017 to introduce the next generation of philanthropy to JAFCO’s lifechanging services.

JAFCO is a licensed, 501(c)(3) non-profit agency that has been providing quality child welfare services to children and families in the South Florida community since 1992. JAFCO’s mission is to care for abused and neglected children and those with developmental disabilities in the Jewish community while working in partnership with families and the entire community. JAFCO provides a full continuum of high quality programs including foster care, adoption, family preservation, mentoring and independent living.
