The Nickel Ride, an eco-friendly OOH advertising rideshare service that connects communities with local businesses, today announced the appointment of its next Strategic Advisory Board member, Brian Samelson, who will serve as an Investor and Business Adviser.
Brian Samelson is a lifelong entrepreneur and founder of numerous companies, a leader in bringing subscription-based software to the B2B marketplace, a curator of corporate culture, and a philanthropist. Most recently, he founded The Two39 Group LLC, whose mission is to empower organizations to reach their full potential via a multifaceted approach including building collaborative business communities, consultative services, training, and investments with a particular focus on adding value to early-stage technology startups and SMBs.
To date, The Nickel Ride has raised a third of its goal to acquire $3 million in Silicon Valley venture capital to expand its free rideshare service to high-density communities throughout the country. The addition of Brian Samelson to the Strategic Advisory Board is perfect timing because he brings a tremendous legacy of innovation, leadership, and proven success, which is precisely what The Nickel Ride needs as it continues to lay the groundwork for its upcoming expansion plans.
"When the Two39 Group was started, I stated our mission as being committed to supporting and promoting the tech community of Southwest Florida," said Samelson. "I have been extremely impressed with what Judah and his team at The Nickel Ride have accomplished to date. They are amongst the best, and the brightest in the Southwest Floridastart-up community and I look forward to assisting them as they continue their rapid growth."
"My goal as we continue to fundraise is to surround myself and my executive team with the best of the best to ensure that our unique rideshare has the opportunity to launch in every large metropolitan location that would benefit from our free rideshare service," said Judah Longgrear, Founder & CEO, The Nickel Ride.
The Nickel Ride is poised to become an Uber/Lyft alternative as it rapidly expands its free rideshare service to many more locations in 2019 and beyond.
