New executives Kris Barnhart and Danielle Webel bring 55 years of experience to expanding team

Professional Bank, one of South Florida’s fastest-growing financial institutions, has significantly bolstered its Palm Beach County team with the additions of new Executive Vice President Kris Barnhart and Senior Vice President Danielle Webel. Barnhart and Webel bring a combined 55 years of banking experience to the bank, with both joining after lengthy tenures with Stonegate (now Centennial Bank).
The arrivals of Barnhart and Webel underscore how Professional Bank is consistently expanding with top talent, as South Florida bankers from large institutions are increasingly attracted to the bank’s entrepreneurial and nimble nature. Barnhart and Webel are based in the bank’s Palm Beach Gardens office.
“We are thrilled to have two bankers of the caliber of Kris and Danielle become part of the Professional Bank family,” said bank Executive Chairman Daniel R. Sheehan. “Their vast experience, dedication and relationships within the community will complement our strong existing team servicing Palm Beach County and aid in the further growth of our footprint there.”
Both Barnhart and Webel are natives of upstate New York, spending the bulk of their professional careers in South Florida.
Barnhart has 25 years of industry experience and was a founding employee of Stonegate Bank, which was sold to the parent company of Centennial Bank in fall 2017. The Canisius College graduate cited Professional Bank’s industry niche and service-oriented philosophy as key drivers of his decision to leave a much larger financial institution and join the bank.
“Our customers truly appreciate the fact that we are not a huge institution,” said Barnhart. “There is a void in our industry to service the small-to-mid-size business owner and the local developer because many of the community banks are being acquired. I’m excited to help Professional Bank continue to fill that void.”
Webel spent 11 years at Stonegate/Centennial Bank and 19 years at Bank of America, handling all kinds of commercial lending for clients. She graduated from Regents College – now known as Excelsior College – in Albany, N.Y. with a bachelor’s degree in Finance.
As of September 30, Professional Bank had $705 million in assets, up from $491 million 12 months prior. That year-over-year increase cemented its status as one of the region’s fastest-growing banks.
