Max Piet, President and CEO of TooJay’s Deli, has joined the Board of Directors of Feeding South Florida for 2018-2020. Feeding South Florida is a Feeding America food bank serving Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties.
“With Feeding Florida as TooJay’s charitable partner, it was a natural fit for me to accept the invitation to join the board of Feeding South Florida,” said Piet. “I have seen firsthand the vital service the network of food banks throughout Florida provides to local communities.”
In 2018, TooJay’s announced its partnership with Feeding Florida, a statewide network of Feeding America food banks providing a healthy, adequate and consistent food supply to those in need. Since the partnership’s inception, the West Palm Beach-based restaurant company has raised and donated nearly $58,000 to Feeding Florida.
Piet joined TooJay’s in 2017 as President and CEO. His responsibilities include providing strategic leadership, working with the board of directors and management team to establish long-range goals, forming expansion plans and policies for the restaurant company known around the state for its generous servings of homemade, New York deli favorites.
With plans to continue expanding its Florida footprint, TooJay’s is set to open new restaurants in Naples, Fort Lauderdale and Dania Beach during the first half of 2019 and is busy updating existing restaurants with a new look that preserves the feel of an authentic New York deli in a modern environment.
