South Florida Institute on Aging Announces New Board Officers

The South Florida Institute on Aging (SoFIA), a non-profit dedicated to helping South Florida’s aging community thrive, has announced the following new officers for its board of directors: Chair Lynn Brewer; Vice Chair Todd Radosevich; Secretary Ed French; and Treasurer Jim Walker.

“It is an honor to have such distinguished business and community leaders on our board who will lend invaluable management and oversight experience to SoFIA’s operations and evolution,” said SoFIA President and CEO Peter Kaldes, Esq. “The combined talent these individuals bring in the areas of sales and marketing, accounting, community lending finance and revenue management is an asset to our organization.”

Lynn Brewer, who previously served as board vice chair,is an associate principal in Kauffman Rossin’s Entrepreneurial Services Practice. With more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, she has comprehensive experience consulting, speaking and mentoring on tax compliance and reporting issues and is an Enrolled Agent (EA) authorized to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in accounting and is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Todd Radosevich, who was previously treasurer of the board, is the regional director of payer strategies for Trinity Health. He has 25 years of experience in healthcare finance with large hospital systems and physician led organizations. Radosevich has served in several financial leadership roles, most recently as executive director of finance for Holy Cross Hospital. He graduated from University of Iowa with a degree in business administration and from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a master’s in healthcare administration.

Ed French has significant experience in strategic positioning for some of the world’s top brands. He is the former chief of sales and marketing for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. and was previously senior vice president of Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards. He joined Marriott after leading the Advantage program for American Airlines. A graduate of Georgetown University with a degree in international relations, French also received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Jim Walker, a senior loan officer for Florida Community Loan Fund where he underwrites community and economic development loans, has more than 33 years of experience in community development finance and lending. Walker graduated from Harvard University with a degree in government and international relations and received his MBA from Columbia University.

Together we believe in the importance of helping seniors reach new levels of fulfillment in their work and personal lives,” said Brewer. “SoFIA has all the right ingredients to orchestrate change and I am excited to work with the board to ensure that South Florida seniors thrive through participation in SoFIA’s programming.”

Also on the board of directors are Grace Carrington, Five Star Home Care; Maria Darquea, Vice President, BB&T; Marcy Kabolowsky, Legacy Bank; Ted Perrella, Perrella & Associates, PA; Andy Szkaradek, Cherry Bekaert Wealth Management; and Peter Weitz, Weitz Financial.
