Headquartered in London, STEP is a global professional association of industry practitioners helping families plan their assets across generations. With more than 100 branches and chapters across the globe, the association’s primary purpose is to improve public understanding of the issues families face in relation to inheritance and succession planning and to promote education and high professional standards among its members. Recognized as experts in their field with proven qualifications and experience, members regularly assist families with planning for their futures.
Harris joins an elite group of industry leaders on STEP Miami’s 12-member Board of Directors. One of the largest chapters in the Americas, STEP Miami encompasses over 200 professionals from across Miami’s accounting, legal, banking and fiduciary sectors. The branch provides members with ongoing professional development opportunities through a series of high quality monthly events designed to build strong business relationships and deliver up-to-date on trust and estate developments.
“I am incredibly honored to be given the opportunity to lead STEP Miami and to work alongside such an esteemed group of practitioners,” said Harris. “I look forward to working with the board to further STEP’s mission of helping families plan their financial futures, and to promote education and high professional standards among our members.”
With more than 28 years of industry experience, Harris has worked with a myriad of affluent and high net worth individuals, families, foundations and institutions on matters concerning investment management, wealth preservation, trust, private banking, commercial lending, financial and estate planning. His keen industry knowledge and leadership has played a key role in CGTC growth and status as a leading provider of wealth investment management and trust services throughout Florida.
The past president of the Broward Estate Planning Council, Harris is actively involved with several community and professional organizations and has extensive involvement with The Real Property Probate Trust Law Section, The Elder Law Section and the Tax Section of the Florida Bar, The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, The Coral Gables Community Foundation and the Georgetown University Alumni Association.
