Children’s Harbor Names Stephen V. Fuller CEO

Stephen V. Fuller, has been named president and CEO of Children’s Harbor, Inc., a nonprofit agency that provides a safe harbor and support services to over 800 at-risk children per year, through a variety of programs in the foster care system.

In his new position, Fuller is responsible for providing strategic leadership, building collaborative relationships in the community, and working with the board of directors and staff to establish long-range goals and expansion plans for Children’s Harbor.

Fuller has a long history with Children’s Harbor. Over a 12-year span, he served on the board of directors, where he was a past chair and vice chair.

Prior to joining Children’s Harbor, Fuller was president of HR Solutions USA, LLC, a boutique human resources consulting firm. Previously he held senior executive human resources positions at The GEO Group, AmeriPath, Inc., Hospital Corporation of America and Tenet Health, among others. He is certified in human resources by the Society for Human Resource Management, Human Resources Certification Institute and WorldatWork.

“I am passionate about our mission and bring a unique perspective to my new position which is one of the reasons why I was initially drawn to Children’s Harbor,” said Fuller. “I have three siblings who were adopted from the foster care system, so I feel I have a personal connection to our kids here. Children’s Harbor has such a profound impact on the children and families in our community who need it most. Together we can truly make a difference.”

Active in the community, Fuller has served as an advisory board member of Step Up For Students; a division president and chapter president of the American Heart Association; a board member of the Florida State University Center for Human Resource Management; president, vice president and board member of the HR Florida State Council; and State of Florida director, district director and greater Miami chapter president for the Society for Human Resource Management.

A resident of Fort Lauderdale, Fuller has a bachelor’s degree in personnel management and industrial relations from Auburn University and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University.
