Marluis “Mar” Peña has joined TotalBank as Banking Officer/Residential Loan Originator–CRA. She will serve the bank’s 18 offices as a member of the Residential Lending Team based from the bank’s headquarters, located at100 SE 2 Street, Miami, FL, 33131.

Ms. Peña has spent the past decade working with first-time home buyer programs and government

subsidies throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. She has experience as a housing counselor, affordable housing loan officer, and most recently as a CRA-mortgage loan specialist. Peña’s responsibilities with TotalBank include pre-qualifying customers, assisting applicants with the loan application process, meeting with housing agents to provide financial counseling education to customers and developing new prospects for the residential lending unit of the bank.

Peña is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance from Keiser University. She is a board member for Trinity Empowerment Consortium, Inc., and serves on the committee roundtable for the South Florida CDC and sub-committee of Miami-Dade County Housing Advocacy Housing.
