Snag-A-Slip, an online boat slip reservation company, today announced that Andrew Sturner, Founder and CEO of Aqua Marine Partners, and founding Director of AGPMiami has joined the company’s board of directors. Sturner, a long-time investor and founder of technology, real estate and maritime startups, also co-founded and sits as the Chairman of Boatsetter, a peer-to-peer boat sharing marketplace. Recently, Boatsetter acquired its competitor, Boatbound on the heels of closing an $8mm Series A funding.

Under his leadership Aqua Marine Partners, has become one of the leading owner/operators of marinas on the Atlantic Coast. With over 2,500 wet and dry storage slips, AMP offers customers reciprocal access to storage up and down the Eastern Seaboard.

Prior to founding AGP Miami and Aqua Marine Partners, Sturner served as President of Corporate and Business Development of Sportsline.com Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLN) the publisher of CBS.Sportsline.com. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Business Development for MovieFone, Inc. (NASDAQ: MOFN), an interactive telephone service company. Mr. Sturner started his career as a bankruptcy and restructuring attorney at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan in New York.

Snag-A-Slip is a Baltimore-based company that connects boaters with available slips, while also showcasing marinas in the same way that hotels are promoted. The mobile-responsive website and apps allow boaters to explore marinas by region, city or marina name and then search for slip availability based on travel dates, length, beam, draw and power requirements.
