Scott R. Ford has been named vice president for development and marketing for Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale.

Ford joins the non-profit hospital from the Advocate Healthcare system, serving as vice president for development at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, Illinois, and Advocate Eureka Hospital in Eureka, Illinois. There, he also served as president of the Brokaw Hospital Endowment Fund. Previously, Ford was director of development for the University of Iowa Foundation – U of I College of Public Health. His professional background includes roles as a council member/mayor pro tem for the City of Lisbon, Iowa, and as a U.S. National Park Service park ranger.

Taylor. “He has a proven track record of leading successful fundraising programs and has extensive experience building relationships with staff, volunteers, board members, donors and other stakeholders. Scott will be a valuable addition to our team.”

At Holy Cross, Ford will focus on securing major gifts and building strong relationships with donors. He also will oversee strategic planning, budget management, marketing and special events.

A resident of Tamarac, Ford received a B.A. in journalism and religious studies/philosophy from Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa, and a Master of Arts in philanthropy and nonprofit management from the University of Northern Iowa. He is a member of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy.
