Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services proudly welcomes Alfred Karram Jr as Vice President to its Board of Directors.

Karram is the president and founder of AKJ Design Concepts, an international architectural interior design firm in Miami. He is an honors graduate of the Pratt Institute of Architecture in New York, where he received his bachelor’s degree in architecture. The company is a full-service architectural interior design firm specializing in the one-of-a-kind development of only the most luxurious, high-end interiors for private residences and yachts.

His award-winning work has been nationally and internationally acclaimed by numerous publications and awards, including Architectural Digest, A.D. Architectural Digest (France), Connaissance Des Arts (France), Casamica (Italy), and The New York Times. Karram is an associate member of the American Institute of Architectsand has been a Florida-licensed and certified general contractor for more than 30 years.

He has been very involved with his philanthropic work with Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services’ Board of Directors since his membership in 2010. Karram is the chair for its program committee and the founder of the weekly mentoring program which he personally runs every Tuesday evening, positively impacting the youth that walk through the shelter’s doors.
