The Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale has installed its 2017-2018 Board of Directors, effective June 1, 2017. The Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving our community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
The newly-appointed 2017-2018 Board of Directors includes:
· President - Jill Banaszak, Senior Vice President, Head of Omni Solutions at eVestment
· President-Elect - Jennifer Kovach, Director, South Florida Operations at Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship, Florida State University
· President-Elect-Elect - Rachel Vitek, Scientist at E Sciences Inc.
· Executive Vice President - Sandy Kwoka, Business Manager at Innovatus Group Inc.
· Recording Secretary - Ronnie Cloyd, Premier Level V Executive Consultant at Rodan + Fields
· Treasurer - Meredith Wojnowich, Sales Executive at KONE Elevators
· Nominating - Katrina Brin, Homemaker
· Board Member - Stephanie Marcoux, Admissions Officer at University of Florida MBA Programs
· Board Member - Angelique Thomas, Administrative Assistant at Responsive Home Care
"For the past 80 years the leadership of the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale has made a significant impact in the community. This incoming group will continue to train our members as future leaders, for the next 80 years," said Elizabeth Swann, the league’s Immediate Past President.
The Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale was established in 1937 to provide the community with willing volunteers in civic and child welfare work. Over its 80 year history, the organization has invested millions of dollars, matched by millions of volunteer hours, in improving the lives of our neighbors right here in Broward County. The Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale has founded several of Broward County's top charitable organizations, including Jack and Jill Children's Center, Kids in Distress, SOS Children's Village, Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center, and the Museum of Discovery and Science.
