delivery.com, a leading platform for online ordering and on-demand delivery, today announced the acquisition of alcohol delivery service Klink's business operations. Founded in 2013, Klink has built a large and loyal customer base in Florida, Texas and Washington D.C., markets delivery.com has targeted for expansion.
Klink customers will have no problem transitioning to delivery.com, which offers on-demand delivery of not only alcohol, but also food, groceries, laundry/dry cleaning and other products and services. Both companies offer convenient apps that connect users to local liquor stores for on-demand delivery of beer, wine, and spirits. Now, Klink customers in Miami and D.C. will have access to delivery.com's vast nationwide network of more than 12,000 local businesses that deliver on-demand.
"This news is a big step toward bolstering our service in key expansion markets," says Jed Kleckner, CEO of delivery.com. "Klink has provided a great experience for its fan base and merchant partners to date, and we're excited to bring them into the delivery.com family."
"Having been one of the first companies to offer alcohol delivery," says Jeffrey Nadel, CEO of Klink, "we couldn't be more excited to pass the torch to delivery.com and allow our customers to order beer, wine, spirits and food — all in the same place. delivery.com has been an innovator in this space for more than a decade, and there's no company we would rather be joining forces with."
Already a major player in the food delivery space, delivery.com continues to grow its other verticals like alcohol, groceries and laundry. At the same time, the New York-based company has expanded merchant coverage in most major metropolitan areas, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Washington D.C., and Miami.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, and a transition of Klink customers and merchants to delivery.com will be completed in the coming weeks.
