JAG Insurance Group, a full-service property and casualty insurance firm based in Coral Gables, announced today that Melissa Rosado has joined the company as chief operating officer. In this new role, she will focus on managing the ongoing daily operations of the business, while also leading internal sales strategy and team building initiatives.

Rosado brings more than 19 years of sales and management expertise to JAG Insurance Group. Most recently, she served as vice president branch manager for Regions Bank, a national bank for which she managed multiple Miami-based locations. In this position, Rosado focused on exceeding branch sales goals and strategic market penetration, resulting in a 38 percent increase in small business loan production in 2015.

“Melissa’s extensive knowledge working across various organizations to consistently meet and exceed project goals makes her an excellent addition to the JAG family, and we are pleased to welcome her to our team,” said Douglas Jones, managing partner of JAG Insurance Group. “As our company continues to cultivate new and existing client relationships, she will play an integral role in maintaining and expanding internal operations, while enhancing our company culture.” 

Rosado’s experience also includes two years as financial center manager at Wells Fargo in Miami, where she led a team of 24 associates and managed the second largest branch in the South Florida region. This, combined with several years as an executive consultant for American Express in Miami, allowed her to develop her strategic planning and operations management expertise in the financial sector.

Rosado additionally served as a sales representative and self-directed team coach at Delta Airlines in Miramar, Fla., where she finessed her customer service abilities and participated in a six-month leadership development program.

Rosado holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from Florida International University.
