The event honors Victoria Ranger Nunez, founder of Ranger Good Works and Ranger Technical Resources
Young At Art Museum’s 20th Annual Women of Vision Luncheon: Love & Legacy will be held on Wednesday, February 15 beginning at 11 a.m., at Young At Art Museum, 751 S.W. 121 Ave. in Davie.
This year’s luncheon will honor Victoria Ranger Nunez, president of Ranger Technical Resources, Inc. and founder of Ranger Good Works, who will be recognized for her philanthropic support of the arts and of children and families in our community.
Ranger Nunez, a Fort Lauderdale resident,founded Ranger Good Works, a nonprofit charity whose main focus is to establish an inclusive program for Dillard Elementary School. Of the 900 students currently enrolled at Dillard, 100 come from homeless families. These children and many of the other students who attend the school lack the very basic necessities in life.
“I’m extremely honored to be recognized by Young At Art and the Women of Vision as I feel we share a special bond since YAA’s outreach programs also benefit the underserved in our community,” said Ranger Nunez.
Young At Art Museum’s Board MemberMaya Ezratti will serve as luncheon chair as the Women ofVisionalso celebrates all ofthose who make a difference in ourcommunity.
“We are thrilled and excited to have Victoria Ranger Nunez as our honoree this year! She is a champion of people and is most deserving of this award,” Ezratti said. “At the same time, we are supporting Young At Art’s magnificent community initiatives for under-served children, teens and their families through some of the most life-changing programs in the country.”
As in years past, the Women of VisionLuncheon will benefit the Museum's creative and pioneering programs including the ArtHouse, a creative placemaking hub for residents of the Sistrunk neighborhood; ArtREACH, a free, afterschool art, literacy and academic enrichment program for homeless youth and teens, ages five-15, living in Broward emergency and transitional shelters, or in independent transitional housing; and Girls N’ Power, a gender empowerment through art program for at-risk girls at the PACE Center Broward.
“It is our great pleasure to honor Victoria and all of the women and men in our community who give their time and talent to help enrich the lives of families and children in our community who need it the most,” said Mindy Shrago, Executive Director/CEO of Young At Art Museum. “It is because of them that we have had such incredible success with our programs. Working together, we continue to make a profound impact on so many. We are immensely proud of that.”
Guests will enjoy a fashion show courtesy of Jessie Boutique. Each of the Women of Vision also will be presented with a hand-crafted, original piece of sterling silver jewelry created by Young At Art Museum's Artist in Residence Chisseko Kondowe.
