Friends of WLRN is pleased to announce the appointment of Dwight L. Hill as Chairman of the Board, effective December 2016. He will serve a four year term. Established in 1974, Friends of WLRN cultivates individual, foundational and corporate funding for 91.3 WLRN, South Florida’s NPR news station, and PBS Channel 17.

“It is an honor to lead the Board of Friends of WLRN. WLRN Public Radio and Television for South Florida is a very important source of news and information locally and across the country, and has been for decades,” said Dwight Hill, President of Sabadell United Bank. “The role of an independent news organization like WLRN is critical at present, and my mission is to see that WLRN delivers on its promise today and into the future.”

With over 35 years of financial advisory experience, Mr. Hill is currently President of Sabadell United Bank. Hill is active in the Greater Miami community and serves on multiple boards. He is a past chair of the development committee at Carrfour Supportive Housing and the board of directors at the American Red Cross of Miami.
