Marc H. Bivins, MD, MBA
Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale has named Marc H. Bivins, MD, MBA, as Chief Medical Officer for the hospital, which is one of only 63 in the nation to achieve the “high performing” rating in all nine medical conditions surveyed in 2016 by U.S. News and World Report.
In his new post, Dr. Bivins will lead and coordinate efforts directed at improving the effectiveness, efficiency, quality and safety of patient care while serving as a liaison between the hospital's senior management and medical staff. He will also provide leadership for the Holy Cross Medical group, the prestigious multi-specialty physician practice.
Dr. Bivins most recently served as medical director for quality and clinical resource management at Broward Health Medical Center. He previously practiced as a hospitalist and founded American Hospitalist Company in Jacksonville, FL.
Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Bivins completed residency training at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota after completing his undergraduate degree and his M.D. at the University of Miami. In addition he earned his MBA degree at the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. Dr. Bivins also holds Six Sigma Green Belt certification,
He is a diplomate of the American College of Physicians and is a fellow of the American College of Ethical Physicians and the American College of Specialists in Geriatrics. Dr. Bivins is a member of the Broward County Medical Association.
