Mercantil Commercebank, one of the largest banks headquartered in Florida, announced today that Carlos Perez, Vice President, commercial lending officer of the Bank, has joined the board of directors of the Early Learning Children’s Foundation.
Perez joins other community leaders dedicated to carry out the organization’s mission. The Early Learning Children’s Foundation creates scholarships to support high-quality early care and education opportunities for children from birth to five years old. The foundation collaborates with the Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe to identify and prioritize children who are at-risk or have special needs from low-income families.

Perez joined Mercantil Commercebank in 2007 and has more than 10 years of experience in South Florida’s banking industry. He attended the Florida International University (FIU) and earned an executive master of science in taxation (EMST) and a graduate certificate in accounting and auditing. He is also a cum laude graduate of FIU, where he also received a bachelor’s degree in finance.
