Pinta Miami Launches A New Initiative With A Program For New Collectors

11/8/16

In addition to hosting its 10th anniversary celebration with a new philosophy of Crossing Cultures, PINTA Miami brings fresh educational initiatives with the launch of Young Collectors Desk by Guijarro de Pablo Art Consulting.

One of the principal objectives of Young Collector’s Desk is to provide attendees – regardless of their level of experience – the necessary tools to help maximize their enjoyment of Pinta Miami’s 10th anniversary celebration. Guijarro de Pablo Art Consulting’s proposal aims to educate and give attendees the opportunity to explore the art world through guided tours that focus on the basics of art collecting. The tours will dive into topics that range from how to visit an art fair to how to evaluate an artwork. The initiative is directed by Jimena Guijarro, who combines her knowledge of strategic communications with her vast experience and passion for the visual arts. One of Jimena’s specialties is facilitating and introducing the process of collecting art to individuals who are new to the art world.

“Anyone can visit art fairs, but enjoying the process and buying your first artwork is not easy. People often believe they need to be art experts and have a million dollars in their pocket to start collecting. In reality, you only need the desire to learn and a budget that you feel comfortable with,” explained Jimena Guijarro, creator of Young Collectors Desk. “Our objective is to bring a new generation closer to contemporary art. At Pinta Miami we are going to do so by breaking the cliche that all art collectors are millionaires. Our tours will highlight excellent works of art with affordable prices for new collectors.” The Young Collector’s Desk program will be held at the fair from the 1-4 of December from 12-8 pm. To enroll in the guided tours, visit www.pintamiami.com or call Jimena Guijarro at 786.239.5204.

“Thanks to its impressive programming, PINTA Miami 2015 was extremely well attended. The Young Collectors Desk echoes the promise to expand our reach to new collectors, whom are the future of the art market, through guidance and education.” Explained the Founder and Director of PINTA Miami, Diego Costa Peuser.

PINTA Miami continues its anniversary celebration with the support of EFG Wealth Management Bank, Swiss bank located in Miami with twenty years in business, and LATAM Airlines, sponsor of the VIP lounge and the space for SaludArte Foundation, which is directed by collector Tanya Brillembourg. On this 10th anniversary celebration, PINTA reinforces its commitment to support and promote Latin American art while connecting it to the rest of the world with Crossing Cultures, the fair’s new philosophy.

PINTA Miami is directed by Diego Costa Peuser, CEO of Arte al Dia Internacional magazine. He is also the founder and director of PARC – Peru Arte Contemporaneo, BAphoto (Buenos Aires Photo) and the Buenos Aires and Punta del Este editions of Gallery Nights. PINTA Miami’s 10th anniversary celebration will take place from November 30 to December 4, 2016, at Mana Wynwood. For more information, visit: http://www.pintamiami.com/.
