Laura Ganoza, partner and litigation attorney in Foley & Lardner LLP’s Miami office, has been elected Regional Director of the South Florida Chapter of the nonprofit organization Fashion Group International.

Ms. Ganoza has extensive experience counseling and representing fashion clients in an array of IP matters. She was also instrumental in developing Foley’s Custom Made Counseling for the Fashion Industry in partnership with the Beacon Council, Ai Miami International University of Art & Design, and the Fashion Group International, offering a collaboration of professionals who provide advice on manufacturing, business, design and technology matters to the fashion, apparel and design industries. 

“I’m honored to have been elected,” said Ms. Ganoza. “It’s not expected to have an attorney leading a chapter of a fashion organization. There are many aspects to the fashion industry and my background as a counselor and advisor to designers fits perfectly with FGI’s mission, which is to be the pre-eminent authority on the business of fashion and design and to help its members become more effective in their careers.  I look forward to the opportunity to continue to grow FGI’s presence in South Florida and to drive FGI’s mission and goals forward.”

Ms. Ganoza will start her two-year term in the position on January 1, 2017.
