The Broward Performing Arts Foundation has announced four new board members: Robert Brinkman, entrepreneur and former owner and CEO of Brinkman International Group; Neil Goldberg, entrepreneur and philanthropist; Dominick F. Miniaci, chairman of the Law Offices of Dominick F, Miniaci, P.A.; and George J. Taylor attorney with the firm of Brinkley Morgan and trustee of the Salah Foundation.
Robert Brinkman is the former chairman and chief executive officer of the Brinkman International Group which he built into a national and international tool and equipment leader. He retired in 2009 and in 2015, he was inducted into the Industrial and Systems Engineering Academy at Rochester Institute of Technology in recognition for his contributions to RIT’s engineering college and his leadership in support of excellence in industrial and systems engineering education. After relocating from Rochester, NY, he has become active in the Fort Lauderdale community.
Neil Goldberg is a Broadway director, founder and producer of Cirque Productions, the international Cirque Dreams entertainment brand, a franchise that includes over a dozen Cirque Dreams shows that have performed throughout the world from Broadway to national tours and casinos. Cirque Productions is headquartered in Pompano Beach. The Neil Goldberg Dream Foundation supports and enriches lives of artists and families around the world who seek opportunity to cultivate their talent and live out their dreams. Most recently Neil created and produced Broward 100’s “WE” centennial show at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
Dominick F. Miniaci is chairman of the Law Offices of Dominick F, Miniaci, P.A. and a Florida Bar board certified immigration and naturalization attorney. He is founder and director of Paramount Automated Food Services and Paramount Refreshment Solutions, Inc. and serves as president and director of Miniaci Investments, Inc. He and his family were among the earliest supporters of the Broward Center and they have a long history of philanthropy in the South Florida community. Dominick succeeds his mother, Rose, as an active board member.
Rose Miniaci was named director emerita in recognition of her extraordinary commitment and contributions to the Broward Center. For 20 years, Rose has been a beloved member of the Broward Center family. Her first gift, in 1995, created a fund to be used for children’s programs and she has been empowering the lives of students ever since. Twelve years ago, she created an educational endowment to support the SEAS program allowing school children from all socio-economic backgrounds to take advantage of learning through the arts. She is the benefactor of the Arts for the Future Scholarship Program providing funds for high school students to pursue their education in the arts. In recognition of her dedication to the education programs at the Broward Center, the Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center was named in her honor.
George J. Taylor is an attorney with Brinkley Morgan and is a board member of the Salah Foundation. An active member of the community, Taylor serves as the board vice chair of ARC Broward and was chair of the KIDS Campaign for Broward Health, where he raised $22.6 million in less than two years for the renovation and expansion of the children’s hospital at Broward Health Medical Center. The Salah Foundation has supported the Broward Center since the Encore! capital campaign in 2013.
For more than 25 years, the Broward Performing Arts Foundation has been instrumental in providing support for the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The Foundation was established in 1985 to deliver the required private funding to build the Center and create an endowment to sustain its operations. Over the years, the Foundation has successfully raised funds to support the Broward Center’s innovative and diverse programming, arts-in-education initiatives, community engagement activities and capital projects.
