AutoNation, Inc. (NYSE: AN), America's largest automotive retailer, today announced the appointment of Tom Conophy to the position of Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer effective October 31, 2016.
Tom will report directly to Mike Jackson, AutoNation's Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President. Tom will be a member of the Executive Leadership Team and will have full accountability for all AutoNation technology, IT development, and digital platforms. As leader of the AutoNation technology organization, Tom's responsibilities will include: all enterprise and consumer facing technology and services – consumer digital, enterprise applications, infrastructure, operations, enterprise architecture and cyber-security.

Tom's impressive background includes serving as the EVP and CIO at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Intercontinental Hotels Group and Staples, Inc., where he was responsible for all aspects of the global IT organization.
Allan Stejskal, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer will be resigning from the Company effective October 28, 2016. "Allan has been a key player in the advancement of AutoNation's digital platform over the past two years. I would like to thank him for his service and commitment to the Company," said Mike Jackson.
