Michael G. Becker and Michelle Tierney
Two outstanding community leaders have joined the Board of Directors for the Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast (JA). The organization dedicated to empowering young people to own their economic success welcomes Michael G. Becker and Michelle Tierney to their leadership positions within JA for the 2016/2017 year.
Michael G. Becker is a Private Client Advisor with SunTrust Private Wealth Management. He provides clients with more than a decade of comprehensive wealth management experience with a team approach that brings together specialists in investments, financial planning, credit and estate management. A native New Yorker, Mr. Becker resides in Palm Beach Gardens with his family and is the current President of the Palm Beach Estate Planning Council. His vast experience in financial management will greatly serve JA, as he plans to focus on increasing financial literacy in all young people involved within Junior Achievement’s many programs.
Michelle Tierney is Vice President, Commercial Lender and Relationship Manager at CenterState Bank in Palm Beach Gardens. The Hobe Sound resident brings not only financial acumen and extensive customer relations experience to her new board position, but also a honed skill in volunteer management. A Leadership Palm Beach alumnae, the University of Florida graduate Tierney has served on several community service boards including the Economic Development Council of Martin County, Leadership Martin County and Le Tip West Palm Beach. One of her priorities for JA this year is to create a volunteer-centered culture within the organization.

I am confident that both Michelle and Michael will assist us in educating an even greater number of students.”
