Independent Living Systems’ James Henderson Honored as Ultimate CIO at South Florida Business Journal’s 2016 Technology Awards

Independent Living Systems (ILS) is pleased to announce that Vice President of Innovation James Henderson was honored Thursday, October 13 during the South Florida Business Journal’s 2016 Technology Awards. Henderson was named the “Ultimate CIO” in one of three categories for private companies.

The Business Journal honored Henderson and nine other CIO Awards finalists, along with the 25 fastest growing technology companies in South Florida, at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale. The CIO Awards are given to chief information officers who lead their organizations in delivering business value and innovative use of IT in the private and public company sectors.

Henderson is a proficient management professional with over 20 years of experience in health care data management and business operations. He has successfully managed all aspects of enterprise-wide health care solution development. Henderson’s skills include needs planning, team building, project management, resource allocation, and staff management.

Prior to joining ILS, Henderson was the Physician Service Manager for PCA Humana Health Plans in Miami. He also served as Chief Technology Officer for eHDL in Miramar, Florida.

Henderson earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Edinburgh and a degree in Project Management from the Project Management Institute.
