21st Century Oncology, Inc., the largest provider of integrated cancer care services, announced that it has appointed Matthew Anderson as the executive vice president, strategic initiatives. In this newly-created role, Anderson will oversee the development and execution of programs that further the company's core mission of delivering high quality, efficient care to its patients. Anderson will report directly to William Spalding, the company's president and chief executive officer.

Anderson, a CPA, brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance and accounting in the health care industry. Prior to 21st Century Oncology, Anderson spent nine years in various leadership roles at PharMEDium, including serving as the company's chief financial officer, and was previously director of finance for Cardinal Health. He earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, MS in accountancy from DePaul University and BA in economics from Western Illinois University.
